I recently got a new DD, thanks to my brother @SK 99 upgrading to a fancier SUV. With the current cost of fuel and living 35 miles from work, it made no sense to drive my big block Suburban everyday.

I know, I know............. But it's been a great truck. 8 yrs old and 58,000 miles. Still looks this good & the V-6 gets 19 MPG around town.
It's got a 350 crate engine in the bed right now. :D

It's from the south and oddly, it is 2wd. It has the full ZR2 suspension, just with a 2wd style NV3500 and there's no front diff or CV axles. Have you seen many of them down there?

Does it have an actual zr2 frame? From a quick glance the width did not look right, but figured it was just the angle of the picture.
Edit: wheels just seem to be tucked in more than stock zr2

It's an actual ZR2 frame as well. Wider track and the specific front fenders with a larger wheel opening. It's probably the angle of the picture and the torsion bar adjustment. I later adjusted the t-bar bolts in a little and it looks a lot different.

my '90 stepper daily. bought from orig owner, 40 thousand miles in '95. 27 yrs later still driving it to work and the bush. this is a truck that truly has spent 1/2 it's life off the beaten path.
clear coat is peeling, paint is off the hood and roof, misc dents, some rust, 300k miles now, runs like a top. will never get rid of it, hard to find a 5-spd or anything manual now a days

Gee I thought I had posted in this thread my DD but doing a search it looks like I have not.

Pic below, this is suppose to be my DD. I had to search though years of pics on my computer to find this one.

So it's a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited, so as you'd expect it's got the Chrysler 5.2 under the hood, sunroof, leather, climate control all the options pretty much, but it's not really me. I like it well enough to be in it, don't get me wrong. We bought it in 2015 as my DD at the time had been a Toyota P/U which someone was kind enough (sarcasm) to rear end and total it for me. I had a Dodge pickup, didn't really need two trucks, but we did need something towable by our RV, and big enough to fit two adults, two great danes and there related stuff for day trips when camping. Front spare mount is home made BTW, factory location was in the back interior and we needed that space. The Jeep fit the need. And I was suppose to use it for me daily, which it was until I got the square in 2018. The square was never suppose to be my daily, but it's hard for me not too. It's me, fits my hauling needs, and it may seem strange to some folks that a truck with hand crank windows, and manual well pretty much everything would be more comfortable than a luxury SUV, but to me it is.

So Heres a pic below:

Around here my daily vehicle choices are often referred as the "motor pool".

My year round short box 01 Duramax and my fair weather long bed 03.
