I noticed you said this is an 88. I also noticed 2 sets of spring perches on the rear differential. I have a feeling that was done so that rear end fits both the 88-98 trucks and the squarebodies. 88-91 Burbs and Blazers. Which means it will fit all the way back to 73 also. Just an assumption though.

not sure on the 88, of course it's the newer 88-98 1/2 ton truck body style and such.

but yea I wondered what they were for, that would be cool, throw it under dad's truck and see how it does.
