Before I bought my house, I rented from a landlord like that. Every time we got a heavy rain, it would flood the basement. He didn't really give a **** about fixing it and I would have to spend half the day cleaning the water out.

So when I knew I was gonna move out in a few weeks and the basement flooded again, I just left it for him to deal with. :evillol: :upyours:

I can see why. You had a few.

Go drive a tow truck and clean up after a few fatals, you won't miss them near as bad. I promise.

I know what you mean. Two reasons I quit riding, crazy drivers and a medical condition. I do miss them on the open rural roads, not so much in in-town traffic. Son-in law owns a towing company and he also has some nasty stories about bike accidents, suicide, homicide in a car and under water recovery.

I think I'm getting ready to list a sump pump on eBay. Making sure my daughter doesn't want it first. Their outdoor underground storm shelter gets water in it from the poor door seal. Not sure if they're gonna fix it right or just pump it out.

Yup !!! It's not for the weak minded. I didn't think I was, but I've sure been tested. Occasionally, you get a tear or 2 that just seem to let loose without notice and no control. Even picking up the wrecked cars from impound yards well after the fact can do it. You see things on cars like the stick family, or a wedding pic on the dash, or diaper bag, car seat, or graduation tassles with the year of graduation hanging from the mirror, and flesh and meat hanging off of safety glass and sharp metal. Just the contents of a vehicle tells a little of who that person was and it hits home. Then you see all the rubber gloves covered in ugly stuff, and cut offs of tubes and ****. This was one of those that caught me off guard. As I was getting ready to take the pic, I seen behind what was left of the driver seat.

[/IMG]This is my soon to be man cave. It is a two stall three car garage that is 40' x 30'. The tan stacked bins will be moving out to the new barn as well and most of the junk. I currently have some old cabinets from a kitchen remodel that my in-law's did, as well as the bar counter top that will serve as additional work surface. Plans are to up grade the lighting, fix the ceiling, and create shelving. There is also a wood burner under all that crap that will help while working out there during the winter. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...89075203.62714.100000103003905&type=3&theater The last one shows that the square has been in there.

So, it finally happened. After being on the waiting list for right at a year, I finally got the call and got a lease on my new man cave again at the Airpark less than 4 miles from the house. This time I'm not sharing a much bigger unit with someone else. I've got this 16x40 unit all to myself, and I even lucked out and it has electricity there, so I don't have to install the service at my own expense, pull permits and all that ****. Just have to call and get it turned on. :waytogo:

It does have a big overhead street light outside the unit that I don't pay the electricity for. 12x12 roll up overhead door.

This is all the electricity is has for now. So, before I call to get the meter turned on, I'll be running some overhead lights and some more outlets down the walls and some more 220 outlets in the places I'll be setting up my compressor and welder. :rockit: I'll do that BEFORE I call to have the power turned on, so it'll be ASSUMED it's all existing BEFORE I leased the unit and won't have to pull permits and have a licensed contractor do it. :rockit:

A few more pics...

For some reason, it looks small in pics, but it's plenty of room. I didn't have the door all the way open in these pics, but I can drive my box van in here no problem with plenty of room overhead and all around it. I'll be building an office in the back of it with 8ft ceiling a heat and air unit hanging out into the shop area. Then still have 5-6.5 feet on top for storage. I'm thinking of a 14 foot deep by the width of 16 foot for the office area where I can set up a trans building bench in climate controlled quarters. And still have plenty of room to pull one of the trucks in to work on it. :waytogo:

Happy news finally for my friend. Ill be packing up my **** and rolling out to rent the loft on that future office off of you. If I could get my hands on something like that I would live in it and make a living working in it. I know you got to be fired up about this man, very happy for you. :)

Phuck yeah I'm fired up about it. The only thing bad about this deal, is it's only the one 16x40 bay I got. All the other bays are rented to other people and you're not allowed to leave vehicles outside other than what you drove up in. But yeah, I'm now wishing I would have just taken the double unit which is 32x40 and 1 side does not have an overhead door and a half wall goes between the 2 units. It's OK though. If I decide I need more space I can rent another unit in the complex somewhere later on or get in the waiting list for a double unit. That will give me time to get other balls rolling and grow into a bigger unit, so I'm very satisfied with this unit.
