I'm trying to figure out what to do about the shock travel on the front of my 86 c10. I've cut one coil and it rides great until I hit a certain bridge where I live. It bounces bad.

Are there shock extenders for the front or lowered shocks?

I'd just get new shocks. One coil doesn't make enough difference to justify a shorter shock

The shocks I have are brand new. Is there a stiffer shock maybe?

I don't think its the shocks, did you cut out the front bumpstop mount off the lower control arm?

I didn't. It looked like it would have enough clearance to not hit for normal everyday driving. Do you think its hitting?

With one coil cut which is about a 2in drop, yes.
