Sadly my local yard is pricy. The axle is $250 and the short block is $215. I you still seriously want them send me a PM. The truck is still there.

250 for a D60 is well below market value.

BRO, $250 for a Dana 60 front axle is not even worth thinking or talking about. Just load that bish up. That's dirt ass cheap for a Dana 60 front axle if that's what it is and it should be unless someone swapped it out. A Dana 60 front axle even if it needs gears and bearings, a core is $1000 in most cases, and up to $1500 for a working one. $250 is a steal. You can go buy that and if you use it or not, sell it for $1000. That's a pay day. If it was closer, I'd be on my way.

For damn sure. I'da had that thing pulled and loaded up that day. It won't be there for very long. As soon as someone knows it's there, it'll be gone.

Someone probably saw the post on Monday evening and was there Tuesday morning to go pull it when they opened up.

Now, it was a dually D60 which has always brought less cheese than a single wheel axle. But damn, finding any D60 in a selfe serve yard is a payday.

True, True, the dually front doesn't bring as much but for that money, I'd have made it work. It's the same width as the SRW front D60 right? Just a matter of swapping some outter parts isn't it? Spring perches are in the same location too right? Now if it were a Cab & Chassis, it would have been different width and spring perch IIRC.

There's only two varieties of the Chevy D60. Single wheel and dual wheel. It is just the hubs and rotors that are different. It's a simple swap, but a bit spendy, which is why the DRW D60 tends to bring less.

Thought so, but for $250, I'd have done it.

Last of my auction stuff. I swear lol

$15 Two nos tailgate caps, both for squares I believe, the one with ridges is aluminum the other is not. One had the hardware kit still taped on the inside.

$50 A nice 70's bumper, honestly pretty mint other than surface rust where there was a brush guard attached. Which is fine because the 79 is gettin the bumper and it is keeping its brush guard, so no worries there. There's maybe one place on the bottom lip where there may be a dent?

$20 Sbc Mickey Thompson cast aluminum valve covers, pretty good shape. Has the Chevrolet lettering. One has a tiny ding on a lower edge, but one also has a cracked mounting flange on one hole... the chunk is still there and attached, so it can be fixed. Good shape otherwise. Good wall hangers if nothin else.

Friday the 4th, the local LKQ's had a 50% off sale like on Memorial Day weekend, but just the one day. Headed across Houston (that yard has more trucks than the other two, with stuff I want) and paid my $5 to get in. Lots more people there than the last time, had to stand in line!
Last time, I scored a set of GM factory 8 lug alloys, and a few other goodies. This time, I was looking for a set of Chevy Sport wheels and an early OBS console.... those were all gone so all I got was 3 nice sun visors and a fog light switch. I scored one early model console, in nice complete condition, earlier this year at the yard near home....

Set of chrome sport rims and drivers door for a two door Grand Prix GT, those are getting rare. Grabbed a courtesy light and tailgate hardware for the square.
