We took a 350 SBC out of a 84 k10 and we are putting it in a 1986 C10 frame but the holes on the engine brace aren't even close to the mounts I took of the K10. This is not my wheel house and I am helping my son build this. Can I use the engine braces from the K10 or do I need to find different C10 engine braces.

No idea what those frame perches are but they are not correct.

This is what the C10 perches should look like.

I don't know for sure but I'd give it a try. Look at what @xm20k posted, are they similar?

I'm guessing the C10 was a 6 cyl rig?

If the 86 had a 4.3 then you'll need to change the stand & they are different on K trucks. The mounts are the same on SBC & BBC.

Motor went in like a glove. Drilled new holes on the motor stands and 3 out of 4 holes on the transmission cross member lined up. Next step put a cab on
