:waytogo: Will do. They got a couple pretty cool rides in their showroom. I'll try to take some pics and post them up for you to see.

Other than the seats and gauges my entire interior is from LMC. I felt like their fit and quality was excellent. Everything fit together like a glove and looks really nice. I have also had good luck with their customer service. Anytime I've had to return anything for any reason they've always obliged and made sure I was happy. Of course, I always had my receipt and it was never something I'd already installed so that made it easier too.

Cool. Got my new catalogs today and been looking over the interior pieces and their prices are great so I won't have to try to piece together an interior in a climate that isn't good to interiors. I'm going with different seat(s) anyway so that won't matter.

I attacked the passenger side last night. Once I peeled away the outer sheet metal you could really see how bad it is under there, I don't think I am going to make it with this, it's just too far gone. I also found out the panels I ordered from LMC don't match on the front where the front of the wheel arch panel meets the front lower rocker panel there is a 2" gap between the 2 panels, that really pisssed me off bad.

Now the 2 wont tie together and the arch in the panels don't line up. Really took a mental hit last night with this. I am going to half assed slop it up repair it for inspection next month and once I get the stickers on it I am looking for another SB and try and sell this truck with a years worth of driving left on it. Fukin damn shame. I'll throw the pics up in a little while, they are really nasty.

Man, that's really depressing. That's the one thing about getting reproduction panels is sometimes you have to massage them to get everything to fit correctly but on these SB's it's hard to get (if not impossible) OEM panels and they're about 3 times more expensive most of the time. Anyway, at least there seems to be some pretty solid Burbs on craigslist that are affordable and hopefully negotiable even.

I wouldn't give up on it just yet 89S. Don't try to slop those panels in either. If they don't fit, they don't fit. So don't trash them doing a half ass job. Try to return them for refund, or sell them to someone else, or keep for another project.
This is why I don't think I'd ever buy panels. What you likely need to do is go to a wrecking yard, paticularly a pull a part or pick n pool, then cut a good section out of another burb that is about 3 or 4 inches bigger than you really need it, then you can fine tune your cuts at home, or cut out the bad metal, overlap your panel an inch or so and add spot welds. In fact where you are doing this, its not even going to show is it? In that wheel well? just run a solid bead and then hit it with rattle can undercoat so it don't rust again.

Yeah, after looking at your pics, I see you are piecing in a bunch of little pieces. I'd have gone to a scrap yard and cut out that whole rear quarter section from the rear door to the tail light. Just spot weld the whole big piece in there.
But I do see more and more rust too. I may agree with you to find another body. You have a good running gear. As I posted in BS in CL thread, there is a good looking 85 Burb body here for $400. Guy said, one rocker has a little rust but didn't think it was bed enough to justify a new rocker that is could be worked and repaired. Just find you another body, and transfer your guts to it. Powertrain, interior pieces etc.

Its actually an 85 Body. He wants $1400 for the whole truck with the new motor and trans, but its Turbo 350 and cast iron Tcase, so not sure if its NP203 or NP205. He said he'd pull the motor and trans and sell the rest of it for $400. I asked, its bench seat model. You ever get interested in something like this let me know. I'd probably split the $400 with you. You can have the body and interior, and I'll take the frame and chassis parts to convert my 2wd Burb to 4x4.

How about HRPC and 89Sub go in together on that Burb and you both take what you want and then whatever is left over is divided and sold. By the end you may end up with a free body and a free frame between the two of your! :D
