Hello,

I have searched and can't find what I need to know. I have an 85 K2500 and when I bought the truck the bumper was given to me uninstalled. So on other threads I saw the dimensions should be 34.03" to rear frame sides. I measured mine and get that size. However, when i went to mount the brackets are roughly 37" so has a gap on both sides. It's fairly rigid so I can't pinch it that tight. I am wondering if brackets and bumper are 73-80. I see LMC has listings for 81-87 and 73-80. Does anyone know what I have here? I read other threads that said rear bumpers interchange but front bumpers are different.
Here are some pictures. I would appreciate anyone with knowledge of this.

From what I've seen, the brackets that go from the bumper to the frame are dead straight, they don't have that kick out like yours do. I couldn't tell you anything past that. That's on pickup bumpers 67-79 that I know of, I would imagine 80-91 are the same.

Here's the only terrible pic I can dig up, but you should be able to see what I'm saying.
