There was a 9 second square body down here that used to run at Memphis all the time. Dunno what was under the hood but it would move out!

Is it gonna be just a strip truck or driven on the street too? 450hp/500tq would be nice. Plus a shot of somethin.............. :peace:

Stepside is the bed of choice down here for cutting 250 pounds off your truck's weight compared to a fleet side. But that is for 4wd mud races though...

I've heard that the Cal-Trac bars work fantastic. I wouldn't know, my little 305 and 2.56 gears are no match for the 255 BFG's :shitsweak:

450 hp, he should be able to run that still on Leafs and big enough slicks. IF he has wheel hop, might try some traction bars. For a 9 second Square, I'd be willing to bet that was 4 linked, coil springs, and a narrowed rear end and tubbed.

I live in bristol, tn any of you guys who watch nascar should know where i'm talking about. there is a guy here in about an 85 c10 that runs low 11;s which i thought was pretty impressive. but most of the trucks that race here are lightnings and s10, and both have trouble hooking up.

If its a drag race only truck, try moving the engine back in the frame to move some weight to the back.

Would be a nice thought, but to do so, the firewall has to come back too. The Dizzy just about touches the firewall as it is.

Hmmm. A C60 cab has the room for an engine setback.

True, I guess it is notched into the firewall a bit huh??? Just use a 6ft long or V6 fan shroud and I guess it could be done, or E fans.

It's been several years since I've been in one, but I remember a pretty good hump in the floor and firewall.
