I want to get some insight on weather I should get the vintage air kit or should I find a donor truck and rob its AC parts.

My truck never had Factory AC. Only Defrost and heat.

The firewall will have to be modified in either case. There is another thread with discussion regarding which is better, but it is mostly preference.

Vintage air is pricey, depending on skill level, you may want to take parts from a donor vehicle.

Your could get all new oem ac for a fraction of what the vintage air unit includes.
