Does anyone know if/of a set of push through style center caps would work on a set of Rally Rims? I want to paint my rims gloss black but don't really like the look of the OE hubs anymore (plus missing 4x4 logos on 2) I thought gloss black wheels with a new set of polished trim rings and a smaller center cap might look pretty good on my truck.

need to measure the hub hole size and then go over to summit and see what you can find.

The factory wheels are hub-centric, so there's no clearance at all for a push-through cap.

Not even those el-cheapo chrome caps made of REALLY thin metal?

Maybe if you hog out the center on the wheels. Aftermarket wheels usually have plenty of room though.

Bringing this old post back up. Would push through caps work on a 2 wheel drive? I'm hoping to run black 8" rallys and really want to do the push through bullet caps and bullet lugs. I've got a base model 84 1500 that's solid white with no trim and I think it'd look good.

I'd gamble the 2wd are hub centric too

I've seen a couple trucks with these caps. Not my cup of tea but I Could understand the look they were going for

Almost any steel factory style wheel is going to be hub centric both 4 and 2 wheel drive and fit the hubs with just enough clearance they don't take any force to install/remove but no space to install any center cap that fits from the back side. Aftermarket wheels are a different story.

Yeah, the spider caps are cool, but I prefer the look of the push throughs and bullet lugs so you get more contrast between the chrome pieces. I appreciate everyone's input here. I've been on the fence about what to do with my wheels since I bought my truck and I've gotta make that decision soon now that a bad ball joint has me needing tires...
