Ok, so I wired in a new front DS turn signal socket, replaced burned out bulbs, and replaced the blown turn signal fuse. Turn signals worked great until I drove around town.

Now the PS turn signal only works if I tilt wheel up or down and get it in just the right spot. DS turn signal still works perfectly. Thoughts? Time for a new turn signal switch? :hmm:

Sounds like turn signal switch may be going bad.

That's what I was guessing. Maybe a short in one of the wires going through the tilt pivot point.

A new switch comes with a new harness then, correct?

Yes, the wires from the switch are about 6in long or so and plug in about halfway down the side of the column to the truck harness.

Awesome! Guess I'll see if the local parts store can get me a new one. Thanks!

Here are a bunch of pictures that I took a couple of years ago. They vary in quality from undiscernable to great. Don't expect too much - they are in no particular order and have no text but they might help you pull the column apart and (maybe successfully) reassemble it. I had to tilt my steering wheel so far forward (to keep the wipers from starting when not needed and not stopping) that I felt like I was driving a Peterbilt.
