Hello everyone, I have a 1980 c10 with a 305/th350c combo. It was originally a duel jet 2bbl setup but I have converted it to a factory quadrajet intake and carb. After swapping the w-jet on, I found that the throttle/lockdown cable bracket would no longer work so I went online and found a used throttle/lockdown cable bracket that was advertised as a bracket for a 350/th350 combo. Installed it and throttle cable works right but lockdown cable is to long and I’ve tried adjusting the cable to no vail. Is there multiple brackets and or cables?

Here are pictures of the old bracket, new bracket and how far off I am with the kick down cable.

I ordered a new one from Monster Transmissions (since I gave my old one to my buddy.)
Make sure you get one to match your carburetor.

You need to find out what year your new bracket is off of and buy a kickdown cable for that vehicle. Thats 1 option. There are aftermarket brackets that have provisions for adjusting the cable mounting locations. Thats a second option.

I used a bracket like the one im the picture, I was very happy with it. There are several out there but this was my favorite, because of how it actually bolts to the manifold and is rock solid.
