you HAVE a saginaw pump??? Why would you need another? your brackets you got, what did they come from? youre missing half of it( just noticedy ou have the machined ones)
No I do Not have the Sawginaw pump. This is the issue because every aftermarket bracket they make is for sawginaw pumps not helpful to me.

So here is what I ended up doing instead of taking everything apart I got a 90* angle iron from Home Depot and I cut it to length..wallowed out 1 hole and drilled out another hole…And used an angle grinder to shape out a half moon for the header on cylinder #1. And painted it when I was done. Turned out this aftermarket ps pump used a metric fine thread 8mm instead of a 3/8 pitch like everything else

I used the original bracket I put a thread rod on it with a spacer and bolted it up.

I am fighting power steering brackets as well. Removed factory 305 that had the smog set up and installed goodwrench 350 with headers. I can’t for the life of me make the power steering pump fit. In order for the pulley to line up with crank pulley it appears that all the brackets will need to be spaced out. Did you run into this? 85K10

305 and 350 1968 and later 73 and later for trucks 82 up for corvettes, all had the same bolt holes on the front of tge heads, the block and all had the same length waterpump. If things aren't fitting correctly you didn't use everything off the front of the 305 or you've assembled something wrong. It is literally a bolt for bolt swap. Your power steering pump is out too far, your trying to set it up on the wrong pulley grooves. Outer power steering groove goes around crank, water pump and AC. Back power steering pump groove belt goes around crank pulley and power steering pump only.

Hello everyone! Recent member and this is my first post! I need help though…I recently bought and installed a 355 from summit in my 1981 k10 Suburban got it tuned and all that good stuff but my concern is the power steering pump is being ripped away from the block and bending my new bracket which I’m sure won’t take long for the belt to fly off at the very least…who has a fix for this style of pump? It’s not a sawginaw pump it’s a new cardone one from Orielys with the stud on the far driver side. I’m planning on a temporary fix using 90* bent zinc or steel from Home Depot to bolt from the back of the pump to the header bolt?
What you have is a Saginaw design pump doesn't matter who made or rebuilt it, it is a Saginaw P series pump. Can't see from the pic but kind of looks like an ICT bracket set up and if so, it may not be assembled properly, or the belt is entirely too tight if it's trying to bend the bracket. I've used them a bunch and never had any issues with them if that is an ICT setup.

Also, the stud and bolt on the back can be swapped if the bracketry requires. Which needs to be done if using the style bracket I think you have.
