My 87 K10 is a hodgepodge of parts. The engine is carbed and from an 84. It originally was TB with a 700r and a NP208. It now has a th350 and a NP205. The transfer case console is for a NP208 and is backwards from the shifter and doesn't fit. Does anyone have an extra NP205 console that may work?

I also need brackets for the power steering. It works how I have it but it loosened up and started squeaking on me last night. LMC sells them but if someone has both I'm hoping to save a couple bucks. Thanks, Craig

The np205 never used the little console, just a shift boot with trim ring.

What about the 91 CC shifters? did they run consoles then?

The 205 was actually used all through the 80's too in 1-tons. And you know, I'm not sure about a console then. I don't think they had one.

Thanks for the pics. I guess i could make a trim ring out of plastic or wood that would look ok. If someone has one laying around I'll take it.

I found the power steering brackets on Summit for $55 and LMC for $60. I was thinking someone might have a box of them laying around but if not no biggie. I rigged it up and its worked for a year before it loosened up so i can make it work. :happy107:

you can get a boot and ring at autozone or your local auto parts store, its fr a manual tranny, but it would work.

I have a power steering pump and bracket that came off my 84 k-10. I've been restoring it for the past 2 years. The pump was an Advance lifetime warranty for whatever that means. $40 plus shipping. I could probably get a USPS box fairly cheap if you're interested. Just let me know...

ebay has tons of sbc power steering brackets cheaper then the universal deals from lmc and such.

stockers shoul dbe easy to find. They use the one head bolt you got done, and usually water pump one on the side and then one to the header or exhaust manifold and bracket bolts down to the threaded nut on the side of yours.

The reason it's loosening is you're missing the support bracket that goes from the exhaust manifold to the bracket. You'll need to trim it to fit with your headers, and space it out properly, but that should take care of your issue.
