I dont have all data since I graduated auto school. Do I have to anything special when replacing the brake booster? Mine is bad

97 k1500 350 3 door

might be easier to post on a gmt400 forum on it.

I'd say no, just hear it's a big pain to remove the clip from the rod up top on the pdeal. The rest is simple, 4 bolts or nuts on it, and 2 on the mc.

Look at the new part and undo anything thats attached to it and then reattach when yhou have the new one in. Like Swims said its only 6 nuts and a clip on the brake pedal and a hose should take a professional like you about 20 minutes.

Look at the new part and undo anything thats attached to it and then reattach when yhou have the new one in. Like Swims said its only 6 nuts and a clip on the brake pedal and a hose should take a professional like you about 20 minutes.

That clip is a PITA to get too. Think a hook/pick tool will take it off?

Either hook pic tool or a pair of needle nose pliers

screwdriver dont work. Its in odd spot/position. Either the screwdriver is too short or too long or not shaped right. The dang steering column almost goes in front of it.

Problem fixed. Now the cruise control quit working.

Make sure you didnt unplug one of the brake switches. There are two of them on those trucks one for the brake lights and one for the cruise. Err maybe its one swtch with two plugs either way sounds like the problem.

Fixed. It was unplugged still under the hood next to the brake booster.
