I replaced what was probably the original PCV valve because it had lost it's check-valve/one-way function. Installed a new one (supposedly for my application) from NAPA. It chatters at idle. I don't recall if the old one did this or not.
Did I get a POS valve, is this normal for them......or what?

EDIT No.1: Just did some quick online reading. Seems to be a common problem when using aftermarket PCV's. Fixed by installing OEM versions. One suggestion was to use the one rated for a '69 Camaro w/ 396, Purolator #PV736. I've just ordered an AC-Delco and it should be here later today, so I'll report back.
EDIT No.2: Just installed the new AC-Delco PCV along with a new grommet, and there's no more chattering. Have a little road trip coming up, so we'll see how it does after that.
