Parking brake pedal will not compress

Hello ladies, gents.

Parking brake hasn't worked the same since the lift was installed last spring. Now I know what you're thinking, "you put a lift on it, need to make adjustments", etc. I agree, yet the cable running underneath the truck isn't as tight as you would think it would be. And the rear wheels move freely cause it isn't applied - that's no problem

But the parking brake pedal, you go to push it/engage it and you can't even get a click out of it. What the hell am I missing? I've tried putting my peepers on it but you know how much room there is. Hard to know what you're looking at unless you've got a diagram present at some point.

Parking brake systems have never been my strong suit, be gentle.

That would be my approach: Loosen the adjuster as much as possible so that the brake cable has no tension on it. Remove the cable from the pedal. This is PITA and you will swear a lot. Step on the pedal. Pedal moves: Cable is seized or some other problem below the pedal, continue searching. No move: Pedal is the problem, remove from truck and repair.

Who installed the lift? Is the parking brake cable disconnected?

Just came to my mind: Is the pedal pushed in all the way? With a lot of slack in the cable it would not actuate the brakes as the foot pedal does not have a lot of travel.
That would explain why it doesn't move. Happens to me sometimes that I overlook the obvious.

If your a larger person take the seat out, only 4 bolts. It is more likely that one or more cables are stuck.
