Someone quite sometime ago, did a post with step by step how to properly paint door panels and dash pads. They didn't make a separate thread of it. We need one though. I know it was SEM products used and there was a several step process using a paint sticking promoter or something of that nature. Anyone know who that was, or where that post is???

Lmc truck also has paint but its more along the line of stock colors and I don't know if they are any good but it may be worth a look.

All of the guys that have done very good work and had the best results have made comments like SEM or use nothing at all. Hopefully what LMC has is SEM brand.

I wish I could find that post. I know the steps must be followed to a T. And there is another product you use before the paint. It's an adhesive promoter or something like that.

I used Plasti Kote, Vinyl Color and it seems to be good stuff.
I like the results of My dash pad.

Mine come out like a brand new pad. Looks like it had just been sort of polished. very nice.
I do`nt know if it made any difference, but when I was spraying the final coat, I let it become very wet looking but not to the point of running.

I'd say the door panels OEM, look flat, so that's what I'd try to go with. Maybe Satin at the shineyist, but not gloss. That would look like it has that gorilla snot crap on it all the time I'd imagine.

I did my monte carlo ss dash in gloss black, and loved it, but to match you want satin.

if you do flat I'd bet you would not be able to armor all it or something like that.

Maybe even hard with satin to do.

The sem crap I used on my old mans dash cap I wanted shiney but it just would not.
