Are paint/build codes found anywhere aside from the glove box? I have a ‘73 c10.

Sometimes on the driver's fenderwell, under the hood. Or possibly a build sheet under the seat or carpet, but that seems to be extremely rare on a truck.

Thank you,
I doubt that I will find one as this truck has been apart for a number of years. I am putting it back together for my son who passed a couple months ago. I am getting all my parts together and a wish list for parts I know of so far. I'll be looking for all the help I can get.

Welcome! And I’m sorry for your loss.
There aren’t that many colors. If you look at a paint code chart for your year or close to it, t should be easy to determine.

The main exterior color is often the same as the dash and interior. If you unbolt the small trim panel under the steering column you could take it to HD or Lowes and have them scan it and give you a paint color match. From there you might find a way to translate it into a match for a standard GM color.

The secondary exterior trim color is often white (code 12), or one of a few lighter colors. However, I have seen a few trucks with the light color in the main body and the darker color as secondary.

Thx for the info. The GM heritage site is a wealth of info. I believe I have the Glenwood Green and white two tone. It seems to be a rare combo. I don’t see too many looking through various sites. I will try to post some pics throughout my build.

I ended up getting the paint to match the original. W/o any #s.

I may need to have cab repainted as shade seems off a bit.

Otherwise looks great. I’ll have a bunch of questions moving forward, but know this site has the answers or resources. Thx
