High volume oil pumps are good to use. Just make sure the drain back passages are clear and you won't have issues.
High volume oil pumps will require loose clearances. You will ruin the bearings on the center journals.

I thought it was only the High Pressure pumps that required looser clearances ?

I well tell you from personal experience that i have ruined 2 engines after a high pressure oil pump install. They both ended up with "rod knock". Please don't install one.

Ceaser is right! Don't install a high pressure pump. But the High Volume pumps are always a good thing!

Were on the same page! :)

Factory or aftermarket gauge?

Sent from the dust in front of you!

Gosh, a very good question 350runner. Finally got off my @ss and hooked up a quality bourdon tube gauge to my 305. Factory sender was WAY under reading the oil pressure. Actual idling oil pressure is 50#, factory electric gauge was saying 15# Got a new sender coming.
Also have a spare 350 in the backyard that I may not be using for awhile...
