Oil pressure sensor questions

'86 K10, 454, carb. Friends truck but it lives in my shop. I have two oil pressure sensors by the oil filter. One is a three wire, one is the typical one wire.

Has anyone ever seen an oil pressure sensor plug, with three wires, that the middle one is a round pin and not a blade?

Has anyone seen a sensor that has only two blades?

Key on, engine off, should there be power on one of the three wires?

Does anyone know which fuse (circuit) feeds the sensor power?

That's an easy one. The single wire one controls the pressure gauge. The other one controls the fuel pump or choke depending on the year of the truck

one is a SENDER and one is a switch. Just remember BELL (sender) is for your gauge the other is a switch.

Probably,looks can be deceiving and we haven't seen your connector unplugged. And if you have power to one terminal key on engine off you don't have a burnt fuse,the one directly across from it should also have 12volts with the engine running. Assuming your wiring hasn't been messed with and original carbureator,if you have 12v to the choke with the engine running. The switch,fuse and wires are good.

I just ordered the connector to match the switch

I'm getting conflicting info on colour wire, for power to the switch. Either pink or dark blue. There's a dark blue wire unpinned from the firewall fuse block.

I had less than stellar luck tonight with wiring diagrams, the ones on here I can't figure out how to print them off to be readable. If I have to I'll order one from eBay

I'll grab a multimeter tomorrow and see if that blue wire goes to the switch

Edit- key on, engine off, neither side of the choke fuse has power

If I feed the unpinned dark blue wire power, the green wire at the plug gets power and so does the choke

There's a grommet beside the bulkhead connector. The white wire goes from a three wire plug in the dash, through the grommet, into the wire harness. The white wire gets power, key on engine off.

The pink/black wire does not get power

I do not see a pink/white wire on the motor side

Not exactly pink but it goes from the bulkhead connector to the plug, with white tracer.
