Get Gm squarebody,
I was wondering how difficult it would be to swap a nv4500 into my 87 k20 with a 454tbi? I currently have a sm465. Would I be able to reuse my current clutch pedal and hydraulic booster? I found a nv4500 on CL from a 94 k3500. Would the bellhousing bolt straight up?

I have done this swap twice 2 different ways

first time I used the 90's bell housing and clutch master/slave cylinders. had to modify the master cylinder a little bit to fit the 85 and up hyd. clutch position. basically slot the mounting holes and enlarge the hole in the body. then make my own adjustable rod to the clutch pedal. and a 32 spline

if you use the 90's bell housing you need to have at least a 4'' lift or the front drive shaft will hit the slave cylinder.

second I used the advance adapters bell housing they have brackets for linkage style or hyd. clutch mine is the linkage style. and a round pattern 205 with the advance adapters spacer.

using the advance adapters bell housing and spacer I only had to modify the output housing a little bit.

it was easy swap here is my thread on it. you won't need to worry about the cross member spacer or moving it inside the frame as your truck is 3/4 ton not a 1 ton.
