Took the driveshaft to a shop, they said u joints were bad, got two new 1350 joints and lengthened the shaft about 2 inches also because I only had about 2 inches on the slip yoke, greased up the slip yoke and installed the new shaft today and it still binds,,,WTF????

What do you mean by binding? The yoke won't slip on far enough? Maybe splines aren't deep enough on the female end?

No the slip yoke goes on all the way, I even greased it up, it drives ok most of the time but sometimes after going up or down hill, or maybe doing a quick stop or hard left or right turn, it will make a loud clank noise???? I can feel it in the drive line too, I thought and was told it was the slip yoke binding due to the lift, but now im thinking its gotta be somethine else, im gonna take off the busted support bar today and see what happens,,,im starting to think its gotta be something wrong with the transfer case,,,,:Frustrated:

The rear blocks measure 5 1/2 in in the center (theyre sloped front to rear), I don't know the front lift cuz its just a spring, im running 35,s and fenders are not cut so its gotta be bigger than 2 or 4 in lift I think,,,,

The problem is getting worse,,,its a loud clunk and it now happens when im driving straight on a flat street in 2wd,,,,it drives really smooth,,,no drivetrain vibration at all,,,,then all of a sudden theres a loud clunk or clank like someone hit the tranny with a large hammer,,,,,happens at any speed,,,slow or even on the freeway at 65 same thing,,,,strange it doesn't slow down or drag at all when it happens,,,,i even hit the gas hard when it happened tryin to break it but it just runs smooth after,,,,and now its clankin twice like once then again right after then is smooth again for a while,,,

im gonna start looking for a replacement t case,,,hopefully get a good one before I tear my apart,,,,ill post pics whenever I can find out what the hell is broke,,,,

Lookin 4 241 t case replacement

No cardan joint,,,stock driveshaft,,,,

So im looking 4 a replacement t case,,,,I just found out np241 with mech speedo is 89 only,,,,does anyone know if later model 241 cases will swap with mine,,,,Its been really difficult finding one for an 89 burban,,,but I see a lot of em from later 90,s models GMT trucks,,,,didn't think I could use one of those cuz of the vss electronic speedo,,,,If I get a 241 from a 95 chevy truck can I swap the tailshaft with the mech speedo off of mine and put it on the 95 unit????? Thatd be great cuz I can get one of those for like 100 bucks,,,,if not I might be lookin for a 208 case????

You can run a 208, it's a direct fit. The later body trucks won't do you any good because they have the front shaft on the driver's side.
