I just bought my 85 1500 with a np208c1, the transfer case was destroyed. I found a np208c 2 ottta a 87 2500 with a four speed. can I match it to a 700R?

You will have to change the input shaft. The spline count is different. Maybe you can salvage it out of your old case. Unless they changed something in the later years. Count the splines to be sure
