So we're working out the kinks on the dually at the moment. Trying to get this dang thing on the road already, and we've been getting quite a few oddities with it - then again, it is a 51 year old truck. Starter is good, ignition switch is good. Key won't crank it over, but if you jump posts on the solenoid it starts. Then we shifted it (column shift) and things feel slightly off, but it shifts. when you go back to park though it grinds. Making me wonder if the reverse switch and NSS assembly isn't working correctly, inhibiting by starting by key. And the fact that it grinds, i checked and the linkage is not binding or hitting off anything and is doing what it's suppose to. I had read that it could be a parking prawl issue or output shaft issue in the NP203 (also, what are we putting in those dang things; is is really supposed to be 10W-30?). I've only dealt with NP205 up until now so I am new to this one.
Any help is appreciated - thanks
