I have a 89 3/4 ton burb with a 350 and a th400 new to the forums

I will very soon trying to figure out a problem with her and it's got me stumped lol ok so at idle see has a small knock but as so as you put it into gear it gets louder but as soon as you accelerate it goes away , when it's cold it takes awhile for the knocking to start sometimes 20mins . So I went and bought a stethascope and I put it all over the block no knocking sound put it on the tranny no knock put it on the dust cover no knock. I am so confused it's not funny only other thing I can add is when you steer all the way one way or the other it gets loader , oh and I bought a flex plate tool to spin to check for cracks I didn't see any but could be wrong sense I couldn't see the bolts

Welcome! I'm also in and around Salem all the time along with @Dougnsalem so we can help out in person if need be. The steering making the noise louder makes me think a loose bolt on the power steering pump. If you have exhaust manifolds check those bolts out as well as they will loosen over time and cause a knock sound.
