Hey guys, new here. I’ve been poking around here for a while and something I’m curious about that I can’t find is about non-pre formed carpet. Anybody use it and have luck? Kind did you use?

I’ve had buddies just use regular old carpet for regular cabs and it turns out pretty well. Best tip is to leave it out in the sun for the day before you install it. New insulation and sound deadner will help also

I've done it (not on the C10) and sun exposure to make it flexible helps but it just doesn't seem to turn out as good as molded. Which I am about to post to see where everyone goes (please don't answer that here)

It works better with older trucks like pre 73. But yes it will not turn out as good as the molded stuff. There a lot of depressions and ridges on squarebody floors
