New Truck

Hello everyone, I new to the forum and have not actually purchased my truck yet. It is in the works for this weekend though. I have always thought the square bodies were awesome looking trucks. I was curious to see what some experienced drivers thought of the details on the truck. Any information or feedback would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Here are the specs:

1983 Chevy K10, 8 lug axles, rebuilt 350 (29k miles ago), new eldebrock 600 cfm carb. On a 3/4 ton frame, frame in good shape, Tires are 33x12.50 16.5.

The truck seems to be in decent shape but I just wanted to see what some others thought.

Any suggestions?

I think you will enjoy owning the truck, I really enjoy mine anyways. Fuel mileage is definetly a negative check mark but considering its about what new trucks get its not a negative thing at all.

Check the steering box area of the frame for cracks, mine cracked recently. Also check the front hangers for the rear leaf springs, they get in bad shape, and the frame can get cracked in that area. Also the rear shock mounts on the frame too. Take a look at the front cab mount brackets, they get in bad shape too.

I just got my first square body, some great help from members here already, and love the truck! MPG does suck, but the perks are worth it to me.

Where are you getting it from? That looks just like a truck in Kiousville and I just saw them loading it on a trailer this past Saturday. It's a little hard to tell in the small pics though.

Yeah sorry about the small pics. The truck is coming from a seller in Richmond Indiana. Not quite sure where Kiousville is, but hopefully not near Richmond.
