Is that in a pickup, if so, what are the figures on the fuel mileage.
Just wondering, that sounds like a nice setup for My 93 1500, 4X4.

Carb blows. Been there done that. Go with FI. Won't cost anymore than a carb either.

Hotrod(magazine) did a dyo pull with different cams comparing carb vs. EFI. And carbed pulled more HP. But also for the fuel economy, im gonna run EFI, its just gonna be turned up a little bit.

And actually either way im gonna be shelling out $$$$$$, cause i just have a motor, no Harness or Computer, and i honestly know nothing about the engine, all i know is they pulled it out and stuck in another.

You set your injection up right, it WILL pull more HP than a carb any day of the week. Unless you're talking about a TBI. It boils down to size of the injectors and if you're getting enough air into the combustion chamber. FI is certainly much more efficient.

I have the lq9 truck intake with throttle body(drive by wire). The only bracket that came with it was for AC. Im going to convert it to drive by cable, and mabey stup up in size, i have no use for 102mm TB but mabey a little bit bigger than stock, theres a place that will mill your factory tb and clean it up to flow better for 70$.
And im gonna keep an eye out for an ls6 intake, cause the lq9 just sits up way to high...

Cool.

You can get the Alt bracket on ebay for usually $50.

I was gonna do carb at first on my LS1, but fuel injection was actually cheaper for me.

Are these like the earlier vortecs where the alt and power steering are a 1 peice aluminum brakcet?

If you do the ls6 intake, you have to do the camaro accys. Everything is in a different location.

Yea, i figured it sounded to easy......
But hey, thats why its nice to have a blank engine, cause then you can do whatever your pocket allows.

And as far as the water pump, i WAS hoping to go electric. But if i cant, then oh well, ill run a mechanical minus the fan.
I was hoping to find one with a built in motor, like the older smallblocks can use.
