Hello all, I just got a 1990 suburban 4wd, 2500. It's bad a$$, just needs about everything replaced. It's getting me down the road but barely, looking to do some serious research here and mechanicn` for the first time. I already replaced the brake cylinders and the master cylinder so it would stop me, bit now it doesnt want to go, I.e. transmission problems. Anyhow, looking forward to some learning. I'm in AZ, Sierra vista to be exact.

See attached.

Welcome to the site!

Look like she's got quite the plans in store for her.

First things first though, check the trans fluid level at warm idle. May be too low for it to engage the gears.
