Finally got my first ever square body!!!

1986 k20 Silverado 350 with sm465.

Is there a place where I can get an entire door? I don't want to skin my stock door.

My rear diff has 11 stamped/welded on the plate by the diff cover. What type of rear end is it? Need to buy a rebuild kit.

Thanks in advance!!

LMC Truck or junkyard. Might find a local body parts shop like we have here called "D.A.R. Collision Parts". As far as the rear axle it should be a GM 14 bolt full-floater. Post a pic of the rear cover.

I'm thinking that is a 12 bolt rear end. 10 bolt covers are pretty round.

And I didn't see the massive hub sticking out from the rear wheel in the 3/4 front pic.

Welcome to the site! What are your plans for it? Nice looking shop/garage they are in. Tons of room...

I know it's hard to see all the bolts under that buildup, but it's a 14 bolt semi-floater.

Ah- yep. Having never had a 14 semi floater I kinda forgot about those. In my defense it does kinda look like a 12 bolt with the buildup on it.
Especially the bumped out area on the cover is shifted to the driver's side to make room for the ring gear (compared to the 14 FF).

Yeah, I had to really look close to make sure. But 8 lugs say a lot too.

Thanks you all!

Yes 14bolt. Trying to figure out what type of diff it is so I can rebuild it. Is there a universal kit?

I scored this from a field for $800. The bed was beyond gone. Motor is locked up. Going to remove motor and trans. Possibly doing 350 or 383 stroker with an automatic transmission.(trying to sell sm465) going to do a full frame up restoration with upgrades.

My shop is fairly new 40x54 with 12ft walls. Heated but not AC

I'm going to need just about everything. Especially a wiring harness
