New guy here from CA lookin for all the info I can get from this group. I have a 77 K15 shortbed. According to the vin and glove box tag and what I can see all the specs are as follows. 400sbc, 205 t-case, th400, Dana 44 front, 12 bolt rear. It was my grandpas I’ve always wanted if, he ended up selling to his nephew and when he passed away it was given to me. Used to be mint then got used to pull at the fair a few times. Has some rust on fender corners and rockers. The motor was cammed and has what I believe to be a Holley 830cfm double pumper. Pretty close to running again just trying to figure a couple more things out which I will ask about in the correct threads! Attached pics are from before and what it looks like now. Lots of work to do but won’t be selling this one.

I just want want to get it back to as clean/ original as possible. First things first want to get it running and driving so I can get it back in the road so just have to go through everything. Then I’ll chip away at suspensions, brakes, etc. and once I enjoy it for a while and feel ready to tackle body work I’d like to pull everything back apart and powder coat frame and fix all the rust and repaint the entire thing. Want to get it looking how it did when my grandpa had it. I have the stock rally wheels I’d like to wrap with some new 33’s. Goin for just a clean simple look. Not sure on what I want to do with the motor yet, lots of different views on the 400 but part of me wants to run it until it needs a rebuild then get it done and keep it in there
