Pulled the plug and got new gears, bearings ect @ summit. One axle is worn out so going to pick n pull saturday.Hey I man wanna go?? Did the first pattern check and the pinion is to deep.It came with a 31 shim and we put a 38 in so ifigure a 34 - 35 should be good.We shall see. Got a line on a complete front diff, was told they are 373s.Mine needs balljoints and the gear set plus bearings ect.I might get lucky and the used one is OK.Trying to do it on the cheep but that route usually bites me in the ass. My man @ work has a bearing puller from Randys Ring and Pinion. Its a collar design that works real slick but holy crap its expensive like 800$ for all the adaptors and the main tool.It zips the pinion off in like 2 seconds. He dose a lot of gear work so I guess its worth it not to have to use a splitter and a press and a Snapon jaw puller on the carrier. Hopefully the truck will be rolling by this sunday..
