Very cool looks like it’s in decent shape. Some I’ve seen look like a train hit them and get built. Good luck. I’ll be sharing my son’s 75 Cheyenne c to k 10 conversion that we started. He is grown though. We have a deal he supplies the money and muscle, and he gets my experience. No brains just experience lol

Neat project. Welcome from Bama!

My oldest daughter used to want a Square, wish we had been able to do that before she went off to the military - enjoy the process!!

Still a slow go but sports and work has started to slow so hope to make a lot of progress over the next several months. Did get the transmission and converter rebuilt. Pretty much all the clutches were smoked. Bought a lot of sheet metal. Hope to get the floor pans, rockers, passenger lower cab hinge mount and cab corners fixed myself. Will have to weigh pretty heavy on this forum looking at a bunch of yalls builds for tips on doing that work. I’ll post up more as I go.

Got a lot of progress this weekend. Need to figure out how I’m going to do the cab. Already decided to pull doors and cab off the frame, but not completely sure yet how I’m going to do the cab. Homemade rotisserie or lay on the back or what. TBD

Don’t have a lot of time this week but have some, so trying to make the most of it. Decided to clean and paint the rear section of frame. Got what we could with the grinder and wire brush. Finished it off with hand brushing and then some Por-15 metal prep.

I have a couple pieces to fix in the main crossmember and then I’ll finish the prep and paint it in POR-15 semi gloss black. Looking forward to seeing some progress.

She is pretty good help. Trying to let her balance being a kid a bit and spending time with her grandparents while we are up (doing all the work in my dad’s garage). We live 2 hours away from them so I want family to be priority, let me handle the truck as much as possible, but still keep her involved.

She turned 15 a couple days ago and quickly reminded me I have less than 360 days to get the truck finished.

That’s about all I’ll get done this week. Let it dry and roll it back outside. Hopefully next couple of weeks I’ll get the rearend out and cleaned up/painted and put back under it. Then move to either pulling the cab or front half of frame which is pretty good shape. It may just get a good cleaning. This truck leaked so much the frame from the front crossmember back still looks new. But has surface rust from the bumper to crossmember.

We need to move your build pics, the the build section. Great job so far. Your daughter looks like she is having fun. Being wife family is the most important. Most of us build these trucks because we have some sort of family connection to them. Building this truck with and for your daughter will have a life time effect on her and you. Let me know if you want one of us to move your build pics to the build thread, or you can go start one, and just add what ever pics you want. Just to let you know... pics or it didn't happen...lol.

Sounds good to me. I’ll sit down one evening and create a new one, then point to it from here. Unless it’s real easy for an admin to copy the current pictures over. I’m good either way. Thanks!
