Hello all, just introducing myself and my truck before proceeding with my queries. I've owned several vintage vehicles, but this is my first square body and I am looking forward to learning more about these trucks.

I purchased the truck in July. It hadn't been driven since 2020 so it went straight into the garage to replace all fluids, hoses, belts, and replace the torque converter seal and get the AC operational due to a leak in the manifold.

The truck is a one-owner 1984 C10 Silverado with a 305 and turbo 350. I believe this is a pretty basic configuration so not really much to write home about. But it also comes with a colour-matched canopy and aftermarket wheels/tires, although I plan on keeping the original wheels on the truck. It is pretty much an original unrestored truck, however the previous owner installed bucket seats, sunroof, stereo and speakers, and the right-front fender and right-side door appear to have been reskinned and repainted. Otherwise it is very clean inside and out with no evidence of rust in the usual areas. I will try to post some pics after I give it a wash.

I appreciate your time in allowing me to introduce myself. I'll look forward to participating in the forums.

Pic of truck after purchase. Has aftermarket wheels but will be switching to original wheels/trim rings that came with it.

Welcome from the Texas Panhandle.
Thanks for the welcome from TX. I've got a soft spot for Texas as I used to live there for a year and bought a mustang in Houston about 30 years ago. Drove it back to Canada where it's still part of the stable.

Welcome, I am new as well. Have a 73 C10 with the old work horse 350. Installed a new upgrade cam, lifters, intake manifold, long tube headers, Holly Sniper, upgraded to aftermarket aluminum radiator with dual electric fan and shroud. New carpet kit and sound mat completely under carpet. stock dash so far but everything works. Runs great just doing the resto work as we move along. doing suspension now, lowering it with drop spindles. Not going to let this sit while we do the work but rather like to enjoy it on the road and then pick out areas to improve. Started out a few years ago with it bare bones stock in need of some TLC. Thanks for the resource and all the people who love our Chevy Trucks.
