new burban owner

Hi everyone, I'm Bishop i just bought a 86 burb from a fellow member and he made me promise to join the site. I'm a parts specialist at the local NAPA and avid racing enthusist

Welcome Bishop. Jump in whenever. You got a Good Burb. I wanted it badly and never got the ways and means to get to Nor Cal to get it. You got @Jims86 's Burb. It'll also be great to have a resident NAPA rep onboard. They get brought up alot on GMSB.

You don't want to know what he paid for it either. Keep in mind it needs a trans rebuild. The 2/4 band is toast and the front pump needs a relief hole drilled in it to keep from blowing the front seal out of it, but he got a killer deal on it. Jim had offered it to me and was trying like hell to get to Cali. My Daughter and SIL took a vacation to Cali, in fact that's where they were when we had the May 20, 13 F5 tornado. I was supposed to ride with them. But with 2 kids and all their luggage, there was no room for me to ride along and bring a transmission with me. Jim just told me he gave Bishop the same deal he was going to give me, so I know he got a deal for it.
