I'm putting together a basket case 1984 K20. Trans/Tcase and cross member were in the bed when I got the truck and I was told that some of the parts included in the deal were not from the original truck but were from "donor vehicles". Looking at the cross member, its NOT the W shaped version but it does have two separate rubber mounting pads about 6" apart. I'm not sure that its the correct unit. Anyone have a pic of this mount?

I can get one this afternoon, when I get home from work. I've got an '87 V20 in the garage that still has the 700r/208 combo in it.

The W one with one mount is what under my '86 K5 with a 700r4/208 combo. The flat one with two mounts is what under my '84 K10 with a SM465/208 combo. Not sure if that's year driven or transmission driven.

Here's the W type I pulled from my 85 K10 and then the other type that I've pulled from an 87 Burb K10. Both these vehicles were 700r4/NP208 Combos. The one off the Burb had a wider footprint and wider bolt spacing on the frame flanges.

'84 and earlier had the more flat crossmember that used the two rubber mounting feet. I think it used the "short" style t-case adapter. I can take pics of my '83 crossmember and mounts if needed. I don't think I have the short style adapter though.

Great info from all of you, especially the pics! My mount is the "flat" style and I took it to the trans shop today and he thinks he can make it work although he might have to drill some new holes for the actual mount. I'll report back and post some pics of what I end up with
