I have a 1990 2wd burb and one of the rails in the rear with the body mount it’s roached. What is or what have guys done to repair this. Aside from taking the whole body off the frame.
Thanks in advance!

I imagine they're similar to the pickup box supports. Closest thing you'll get most likely.

Gosh, some areas of the country rust is horrible. Most of the time vehicles in the NW only have that kind of rust if it was imported from another area. We have some problems with it but usually not that bad.

if you have a Krown installer within driving distance, it seems to be a good investment each year. my burb gets driven in all weather, and they use a lot of salt when it snows. so far so good on keeping rust away for the last 6 years.

The only proper way to fix that is to pull the body off, drill out what spot welds you can/cut the rest off, encapsulate the rust and weld back in a new cross sill. You'll either need to find a parts truck to pull one off of or modify a truck bed cross sill to work.

Looking at all the flaking, you're probably going to need that body mount as well and possibly some frame work. Personally, I'd be looking to buy a cleaner 'burb and swap any of your good stuff on it
