We went on Vacation to Las Vegas and for once I came back with more money than I left with. So I added the leveling kit to the front of my Duramax and put some General Grabbers 285/75/16 (basically 33's) on her. Compare to stock picture.
I'm looking for some honest but not rude opinions on the red letter tires. Should I go with the blackwalls out? I like to be different but still undecided if I like it or not.

Its always good to hear a good casino story! I like the red letters, very different and eye catching.

It definitely looks better with more tire under it. The red letters are different, but they certainly don't take anything away from the truck. It's looking good. :waytogo:

I've always been of the mindset that if you want blackwall tires then get blackwall tires so I'd say keep te red letters out. It's different and distinguishes it from the rest :) definitely looks good with more tire under it :waytogo:

I'm not quite sure if I like the red or not. I can say I wouldn't bother going to the trouble of switching the lettering to the inside.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The red letters would probably look better with a red or black truck but I think I'll stick with it for now.
I never remember any yellow letter tires. Matter of fact the only color I ever remember seeing was white. Do you remember about what year that was?

It was in the early 2000's to promote their sponsorship with Nascar. They were made to emulate the look of the tires that Nascar runs but obviously with a radial tire. :) They said "Goodyear Eagle #1" in yellow letters.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually like the red lettered look on that truck. The red x in 4x4 may be the difference.... i dunno, but I like it.

I think they look good too, but I also think you're going to get tired of trying to keep them looking like that. I had rwl tires at one time and hated using the stupid little pens to redraw the white letters every month.

Edit: Forgot to ask... what game did you win at?

They are not "raise" red letters so I think I will be OK unless the red is not "UV" protected in which case the red fading to pink with get them switched around to black walls in a hurry, haha.

I was playing blackjack. I sat down at a blackjack table in old downtown Las Vegas and turned $100 bill into 1,250 in about 45 minutes. I think at one point I won 12 hands in a row. That morning I also turned $100 into $300 and the last day I was there I turned $100 into $510. It made up for the last two times I went to Vegas and played Blackjack. They really cleaned me out in a hurry. I didn't want to leave this time though.

You just need to lightly scrub them with a red scotch-bright pad and soapy water, then rinse. Makes them look new:)

Here is a closer internet picture of the tires. The red is not raised. I just put a little tire dressing on them and they look good.
