Front of the body cut off on the parts car, tried to save the windshield but it broke so I finished it off. Anyway I will finish stripping what little remains on the donor firewall and get it cleaned up and start locating all the spot welds to get the firewall removed.

Was just comparing the firewalls, the parts car one is perfect aside from some surface rust that will get treated when the time comes for now I’m going to apply some ospho. But notice how bad the original 82 one is.

Yeah it’s definitely rougher than what I thought. Good news is I don’t think replacing the firewall will be to horrible I hope. I definitely think it’s going to be easier to do that instead of patching it like I originally thought I could do

HOLY BALLS.
I just looked up market value on these things.... and .... HOLY BALLS
Well, this is why multiple g-bodies are going to die just to save the vin plate that denotes an original gn car.

Fwiw I love buicks and it is definately sad to see but is just a reality.

I'll bet it depends on whether you are buying or selling!!

Well I don’t have much invested in the 82 and don’t plan on selling it as I’ve always wanted another GN

The parts car unfortunately was kinda crummy. Mostly solid body and frame but made more sense to part it as it would take quite a bit of funding to bring it back too. Hated to cut it up but that’s life. Fortunately it’s the only one that will be cut up for my project body wise anyway.

No worries, like I said I love buicks. If one gets back on the road it's a win. :superhack:
