Quite literally she is a basket case. Original engine and trans long gone, interior is pretty much all there but needs to be redone. Unfortunately I think the grass seed that was in it probably helped contribute to the floor pan rust. The car is solid other than some rust in the floor and some in the t bar. It also has rust around the drain above the wiper motor on the cowl so i will have to get a firewall to make patch panels from. My ultimate plan for this is to restore stock looking but seeing as how the original engine and trans is gone it needs a upgrade so I’m thinking 86-87 GN engine and trans. I’m currently cleaning it up before I put it in the garage. Also pretty much gutting the interior.

It is definitely going to be probably one of my biggest undertakings but it will be worth it when it’s done.

The rust is going to be the worst to fix. I’ve never done rust repair but I’m going to give it a shot if I don’t like it I’ll let a body guy put the floors and patch panels on

    Nice project.
That hammer looks like a good find. :happy175:

I would like to find a GN body to fit into it the engine and transmission I have hanging on the stand.

Cool project! I love G-bodies, have a 85 SS myself. If your other has a turbo V6 in it already, I would be doing the deed to piss everybody off and do a LS swap... But that's just me.

Two?! Well that's just too much for one person to take on. You should donate one to me :D

    Love me some GNs.

Good looking projects. Those cars are getting hard to come by and yours isnt too far gone. I second the LS swap, Its soooooo easy to piss of Buick enthusiasts lol

I’ve wanted another GN since i lost my 86 in a house fire but I always liked the interior in the 82 and 84 GNs with the lier siegler seats. I don’t want to do a ls swap it’s already been done to a 82 car craft did a article on it. I think the 86-87 swap is the way to go
