Just got this 88 s10 blazer a couple days ago traded the express van for it after I wrecked the van into a building (long but not so long story). Anyway I got some cash on my end also for trading to do a little Christmas shopping. I do need to get a power steering/ alt bracket for it asap so I can drive this this winter in the snow if I keep it. The 4x4 seems to work ok and the 4.3 supposedly has about 3kish miles on it since being rebuilt I have a envelope full of receipts for it. Anyway heres a pic of it

Looks like it has a great body besides the fender trimming. If not used as a DD, it should at least make a reliable backup vehicle.

Yeah the body isn't too bad I wish I would've taken a picture before I washed it, it was covered in green algae from sitting so long. I kinda want to paint below the trim black and change out the grille but idk what to do to it:shrug:

washed it yesterday after the fiasco with the power steering pump and bracket. and pulled the floor mats out and sprayed them and noticed the carpet looked disgusting and wet sure enough it was sopping wet in the front floor boards so I pulled the front seats out and cut the carpet out under the front seats and pulled all that jute padding super nasty :doublepuke: not sure where the water came in but it sat under a tree wonder if something stopped up the cowl or something but glad I found that before it became a problem. I did pick up a nice air dam for it at the junkyard yesterday. now looking for some 31x10.50s for it and debating on what to do with the interior now

so I pulled off the cowl :doublepuke: nasty... also found where the water was coming in on the drivers side its from a missing bolt for the steering column so I'll be rtv'ing that bad boy up so that doesn't happen again.

Checkout the windshield too. If it's original, the adhesive could be letting go, causing the glass to come loose. I had an S10 that had that issue and so did my brother in law.

Mine is doing that too. May as well drive with the windows down if it's raining.

The windshield was replaced about 2 years ago I held a water hose over it and found it I can't decide if I want to clean the carpet up or buy a vinyl floor for it

Pics from this weekend showing the floors and the replacement 31s I got for it today. Hopefully not to much left to do so it can be road ready again.

Its been sitting out in the rain since Monday hasn't leaked really just one little drip where the wiring blocks come together at the firewall so I'll rtv in that area when I get a chance but other than that I've put the carpet back in along with the front seats. Going to try and get the tires put on in the next week or two and get a battery and get some tags and insurance on this so I can start driving it and decide what to do with it. :)
