Ever heard of a bistable, single coil latching relay?
I hadnt. Until I googled, tbh.

You might be wondering why I hot glued a little microchip from amazon to my hvac ducting.
So when you press "tow haul" it sends a momentary ground to the pcm and transmission from the factory, switching their shifting pressure and shift strategies.
The issue is, the holley terminator doesnt like momentary input. Only solid, fixed input.
So I looked into bistable relays.
HOW I HAVE THIS SETUP goes like this >>>>
When i press "tow haul" , it still sends a momentary (-) to the transmission and my p59, which will stilll switch strategies.
But it also sends a momentary (-) to the bistable relay, which will "latch" a solid (-) or (+) of your choosing.
You activate the momentary ground again, it unlatches
The holley terminator sees that "latched" circuit, and what it will do with it is change how the supercharger's boost bypass valve behaves thru -pwm. A totally seperate PWM map i program.
So when a button press i can have race truck, or back to halfway reasonable with another button press.
This is a big issue that no aftermarket ECU mfg will do **** about for at least these things that im aware.
This alone will make this truck off the chain.
So- the red light.

Its a small 12v LED that will have a small 470ohm, .5w resistor on the negative leg and the (+) of the LED is on the same switched (12v+) the relay is on.
That way when I press tow haul, the light comes on to let me know its active, and if all goes as planned, key off should kill the relay and light(s) as well as the 2 step latching button below the red light.
