This is the cam i currently have in my 383 stroker chevy c10.

What do ya'll think about this cam.

Truck specs:

air gap intake
long tube headers
edlebrock 650 cfm carb
1.5 roller rockers
rear diff. factory as far I know 308??

If more info is need please let me know

I don't know anything about cams. But looking at the specs you'll have a good high revving engine with no or little low end grunt.

The power range in a 383 will be about 1,400 to 5,400 , not a high rpm stick at all. Nice cam for a 383 depending on your final gear and trans setup.

I'm not a fan of the Air-Gap intake's cut-down divider because it will effect throttle response off idle, but it will help crutch the small carb on topend.

Most air gaps don't kick in till 2500. And with those 3.08 gears. Your gonna need all the grunt you can get. And not making efficient power until 2500 is not gonna be a good combo with 3.08's. And get rid of the edie. They make nice paper weights. But either stay with a q-jet. Or get a holley for performance.

You would be happier with this setup with 3.73's.
