Looking for wheel lock nuts and it more difficult than it should be. Having a hard time finding 7/16x20 wheel lock nuts for an early squarebody k10 Suburban. Do you guys use them or having the same trouble as I am? I see Mcgard 24011 should fit but very hard to find in stores and Summit is one of the few than can be ordered from. Any thoughts?

Typically locks are more of a pain than effective. Wheel locks are one of the first things I remove. Park in a safe place, have there been problems with theft in the neighborhood?

They are, like any other device, something to try and get the thief to go to the next vehicle and leave your alone.
I had to have new lugs for mine when I bought the new wheels and did get a full set (20 lug nuts) of locking style. Thyey were only a few $'s more than regular so I figured - why not?

Since it doesn't get driven and left anywhere (garage kept) I'm not really worried about it.

When I got my stolen 79 Camaro back, it had the 4 standard lug nuts removed on all 4 Crager SS wheels. Only the locking lug nuts remained.
I recon they tried rockin the car side to side to try and break the 1 stud at each wheel to get the wheels off.

They definitely weren't the sharpest knife in the drawer. The lug nut key was still in the glove box.
