Except there is a 100% chance you can buy brake pads that stop as good as OE and a multitude of other options to suit your vehicle and driving style.I wish you could still buy the OE stuff for replacements.
Auto parts from the 70s aren’t magical. Replaced a lot of them. Just like now. Except “most” components on newer vehicles last longer than they did 50 years ago.

Look up "Non-asbestos organic" for brake material type.Interesting - so , organic pads = asbestos ?

Maybe just a fluke of this site, but I *think* this is where I went last time to get 'organic' pads.
They came in marked as semi metallic - I just ran 'em.
A seperate site shows the BP52S as semi metallic.
