lights dont work out of park

As soon as I pull my truck out of park or just put pressure on the shifter my headlights running lights signal lights and the battery doesn't charge. I unplugged the neutral safety switch and it still does it i have no clue what it could be. I recently did a frame off restoration on it but i didn't mess with any of the wireing.

Maybe the end of the shift lever is pinching one of the wires that feeds one of the column switches.

Drive the pin out, pull the shift lever and look into the column. There is a little spring next to the pin that holds the lever tight - don't lose it.
