Light problems

Ok guys on my 87 when I turn the headlights on my interior light comes on and I have no tail lights or running lights. I replaced the switch and checked fuses and wires under the dash but I didn't see any obvious problems. Any ideas?

Must be a short somewhere. That's a weird one.

If you remove the fuse for the interior lights, do the taillights come on?

I would be looking for a ground issue by the rear tail lights or trailer harness if you have one.
