Installing spring packs and need bolts. Ordered from Rock Auto but they were wrong.

Bushings measure 9/16 but how long? 5”?

And the front spring front bushings measure more like 7/16 but will be a little sloppy. Is that ok? Or are they metric or something?

Rear spring bolts are maybe 4.5". Don't remember for sure. The length needed kind of depends on the hardware chosen, as far as washer thickness and nut type.

The front springs vary. The size on the rear eye changed in '87/'88.

Just measure the width of the spring bushing including the thickness of whichever hanger/shackle hanger, the thickness of two washers and the thickness of the chosen nut, then add about 1/4" in length so threads are fully exposed when the bolt is tightened down.

Agreed with above.
Just fyi make sure the weight of the vehicle is on the axle before you torque down the bolts.

K5, actually a Jimmy since it's a GMC
Engine Size
504in
Front eyes are 9/16 x 5
Rear eye stock is 7/16 x 5 on both top and bottom. 88-91 went to 9/16 on the lower only. 7/16 isn't awesome for any sort of hard use and the stock shackle plates are often a problem with wear and strength too. In an effort to solve the problem, if you have one, I'll suggest ORD shackles.

Thanx guys yes the above is correct. The rears are 4.5” long. 5 was okay with several washers. There’s limited space on the nut side.
